Summary:
Student Assistant needed to assist Executive Assistant in Division with front desk reception, documents, marketing student symposium and assistance with coordination of symposium, and other duties as assigned.- Greet visitors to VPRED suite of offices and direct to appropriate personnel.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in scheduling meetings for VP and staff.
- Assist faculty, staff, students, and university community with general questions.
- Run errands on campus.
- Maintain and update webpages for Division.
- Assist with annual student research symposium including correspondence to students regarding applications, instructions for presenting, schedules, etc.
- Promote division and symposium by creating flyers and posters.
- Assist in setting up trainings, seminars, and events.
- Collaborate and communicate with supervisor.
- Other duties as required.
Preferred skills include:
- Must be current student for East Texas A&M University, in good academic standing
- Punctual. Very responsible and organized. Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite and Word Press a plus.
- Knowledgeable on how to set up meetings in Zoom
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Ability to handle confidential matters and to be professional
- Ability to work well with groups of people
- Working with little direction
Preferred education:
- Preferred field of study would be business, business analytics, marketing.
- Experience in AI a plus.
- Prefer someone with a drive to excel and learn new skills.
