    The opportunity

    Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Assistant to the Program Director with our partner organization, UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Goffstown, NH. This student will gain a wide range of experience in program support. The student will have the opportunity to be involved in multiple areas of programming offered, volunteer management and experience the daily functions of a nonprofit organization.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide direct support to the program staff in the development, implementation and evaluation of new and current programming.
    • Assist in the collection, analysis, and reporting of program data.
    • Work with participants in mounted and unmounted lessons.
    • Supper the Volunteer Coordinator as needed.
    • Learn about community needs and take part in various community initiatives and events.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
    • Work study part of financial aid package
    • Students with work study may be prioritized
    • Reliable transportation
    • Willingness to attend required mounted and unmounted trainings
    • Experience with Microsoft Suite especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint is preferred
    • Demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality
    • Possess the ability to balance various project simultaneously with attention to detail and follow through

    Learning Outcomes (NACE Competencies)

    Student will have the opportunity to develop time management, leadership and critical thinking skills. Learn about mental health needs and various physical and cognitive disabilities.

    Work Schedule
    Flexible scheduling during Monday - Friday

    Compensation

    The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
