JOB DESCRIPTION

Undergraduate Tutor 2

Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00

The Undergraduate Tutor 2 will support the department/organization in various administrative and operational tasks by tutoring groups of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing a brief, electronic form to document tutee participation and progress after tutoring sessions
  • Arriving on time for scheduled sessions and leading sessions
  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Exchanging contact information with all assigned tutees and notify tutees if sessions need to be cancelled or rescheduled
  • Being knowledgeable in the subject matter that is being taught/tutored
  • Tutoring two or more students (group) in subject(s) as discussed by Learning Specialists

Qualifications:

  • Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
  • A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
  • A required grade in a prior class or coursework (potentially)
