The Student Professional Corps is a new student employment and professional development program launching on campus this fall. The Marketing Assistant will support the marketing efforts to effectively share the details of the program with Fairmont State students and student worker supervisors. The Marketing Assistant will work 5 hours per week (daytime hours).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with marketing Title III initiatives, specifically the Student Professional Corps (SPC), via printed materials, social media campaigns, Engage and the Title III website.
  • Develop flyers/posters and informational handouts to engage students in joining the SPC
  • Provide student perspective and help gather additional student input on program
  • Assist with tracking student participation and badging/credentialing requests
  • Participate as a member of the Student Professional Corps
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Education Minimum Expectations Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrollment: Must be a current student at Fairmont State University. Ideally the student will be majoring in Communications/Graphic Design.
  • Skills: General understanding of software and techniques used to creating marketing materials. Comfortable with social media tools and techniques.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technology: Microsoft Office, Canva, website

Preferred Qualifications Special Conditions

  • Ability to lift and carry materials (up to 25 lbs).
