The Coordinator of Student Outreach and Recruitment will report directly to the Associate Director of Student Outreach and Recruitment. The Student Outreach and Recruitment team is responsible for all new student enrollment and retention.

The Coordinator will be expected to engage with prospective students, parents/guardians, and community partners through admissions recruitment events, college fairs, community events, campus tours, email and phone inquiries, and more.

  • Travel in and out of the service area is required for recruitment and community events.
  • Travel for professional development opportunities/conferences.
  • Some evening/night and weekend work required.

Essential Duties

In line with the College's strategic plan, the successful Coordinator of Student Outreach and Recruitment will:

  • Assist with the development, execution, and coordination of outreach and recruitment activities with internal partners (faculty, Student Services, Marketing Department, etc.), external partners (schools, community agencies, etc.), and other targeted markets

  • Coordinate scheduling and execution of large and small group presentations, campus tours, and other activities on-campus, in high schools/community venues, and remotely via Zoom/Google Meet

  • Schedule and lead individual, as well as group information sessions and campus tours

  • Attend college and career fairs, back to school events, and parent nights at local high schools, colleges, and community organizations

  • Utilize technology such as Google Suite, Self Service, CRMs, and/or Colleague (the College's data management system) to work with campus partners to ensure that prospective students and applicants receive regular communication from the College

  • Coordinate student recruitment initiatives by assisting with the development and implementation of events and activities that help to connect student academic needs and goals with programs offered at the College

  • Collaborate with the Associate Director and with campus departments to develop and execute short and long term recruitment strategies that contribute to the sustainability and future of the College's academic programs

  • Coordinate and/or assist as needed with registration events, graduation ceremonies, college pre-planning sessions, college orientations, etc., in collaboration with the Student Onboarding and Student Services Divisions

  • Help to meet recruitment goals through continuous training and measurement of key performance indicators of the College admissions data

  • Assist the Associate Director with the continuous training and development of new and existing staff members

  • Participate in annual evaluation and creation of performance plans of action as needed

  • Serve on college committees as assigned

  • Encourage and support college activities, policies, procedures, and philosophies

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Student Outreach and Recruitment

Minimum Requirements

Required Educational Background:

  • Associate degree

Required kind and number of years of work experience:

  • Educational experience related to student services, onboarding, advising, counseling or related fields

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Datatel/Colleague, and CRM systems

  • Exemplary customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Ability to conduct presentations to small and large groups

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Knowledge of community college admissions process and degree programs at CCCC

  • Experience using Slate CRM

  • Experience working with social media

  • Fluent in Spanish
