    Position Introduction:

    Join the Gallogly College of Engineering Outreach and Recruitment team to help share the story of engineering at OU. As a Student Marketing Assistant, you will support design, photography, communications, and social media projects that connect with future engineers. The Gallogly College of Engineering Office of Outreach and Recruitment leads efforts to engage prospective students, families, and community partners through events, media, and strategic communications.

    Our student team plays an active role in showcasing the creativity, innovation, and impact of OU Engineering.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with marketing and communication campaigns for recruitment and outreach initiatives
    • Photograph campus events and student activities
    • Design event flyers, brochures, digital graphics, and mailers
    • Help maintain and update departmental websites
    • Contribute to the management of college social media accounts
    • Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent messaging and design across all materials
    • Lead video production for the College

    Required Education and Experience: 

    • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
    • Must attach Fall 2026 class schedule
    • Proficient in design software on Macintosh computers, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and font management tools.
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Professional communication and collaboration skills

    Department Preferences:

    • Interest in graphic design, marketing, public relations, or social media management
    • Experience designing for promotional or fundraising events
    • Experience with video production and editing is highly preferred
