    Qualifications


    We're looking for students who:

    • Are pursuing a degree in Accounting
    • Have an interest in tax and public accounting
    • Are organized, dependable, and self-motivated
    • Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn
    • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
    • Have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
    • Can work a minimum of 25 hours per week during peak tax season

    Schedule Expectations


    • Internship runs from January through April 2027
    • Hours typically begin at approximately 15 hours per week in January
    • Hours increase throughout tax season, reaching 25+ hours per week in March and April
    • Weekend availability is required during peak periods
    • Position is based in our Westerville office

    Internship Opportunities


    Interns are typically assigned to one of the following teams:

    Tax Coordinator Intern


    As a Tax Coordinator, you'll play a critical role at the front end of the tax process.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Organizing and processing client tax documentation
    • Setting up tax projects and workflows
    • Communicating with clients regarding missing information
    • Tracking deadlines and advancing returns through the preparation process
    • Maintaining accuracy and efficiency throughout the workflow
    Ideal for students who enjoy:

    • Organization and project coordination
    • Client communication
    • Problem-solving and attention to detail
    Workload is heaviest in March as tax documentation is received and processed.

    Tax Preparation Intern


    As a Tax Preparation Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience preparing tax returns using professional tax software.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Entering and verifying tax data for individual tax returns
    • Assisting with 1099 preparation for business clients
    • Supporting tax professionals throughout the preparation process
    • Reviewing information for accuracy and completeness
    • Learning how tax documents and regulations apply to real client situations
    Ideal for students who enjoy:

    • Technical accounting work
    • Tax concepts and regulations
    • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
    Workload increases significantly during mid-March through the April filing deadline.
