    The State is accepting online applications for available Student Environmental Remediation Engineer positions.

    Illustrative Examples of Work Performed

    Student Environmental Remediation Engineers assist in ensuring consistency and certainty in the application of clean up objectives for soil and groundwater at contaminated properties in order to appropriately manage risks to human health and the environment; Under the direction of a superior review technical information which may include or relate to laboratory analysis of environmental media and the results thereof, application of numerical environmental media quality standards, and engineering plans and schematics relating to site conditions and proposed remedies; Conduct research to develop policy and/or regulations; Compile and analyze data; Prepare documents of correspondence consistent with Department processes and procedures to communicate with responsible parties regarding their responsibilities under the Department's rules and regulations; Interact with the general public to appropriately disseminate information regarding the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites, and do related work as required.
