    Job Title:Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst Intern
    Department:ITS – Information Security
    Student Employment Type:Federal Work-Study
    Responsibilities:

     

    • Monitor security alerts – identify and report potential security incidents
    • Investigate incidents – assist in investigating security events
    • Phishing detection and response - assist in identifying and responding to phishing attempts
    • Learn and operate security tools - assist in configuring and utilizing various SOC tools including SIEM, SOAR, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, honeypots, etc.
    Qualifications:
    • Interest in cybersecurity
    • Possesses a positive attitude
    • Exhibits professionalism in all interactions
    Hours of Position:
    • Five hours per day, three days per week. Subject to change based on intern’s class schedule
