    Job Title:Columbus House Development Specialist
    Department:Office of Community Engagement
    Student Employment Type:Federal Work-Study        
    Responsibilities:

    Columbus House will be celebrating its 45th Anniversary and will be increasing all marketing, communications and community engagement throughout the year. This position will be primarily focused upon projects associated with the Anniversary celebration.

    • Assist with the design and coordination of 45th anniversary special events including vendor outreach, volunteer coordination and outreach and development of programs and materials, etc.
    • Assist with researching, writing and proposing grants and writing appeal letters to fund operations, special event and projects
    • Assist with on-going grant management including collection and tracking of data and assisting with the development of reports
    • Assist with the development of social media campaigns in concert with other areas to recognize community partners, volunteers and illustrate and document the operations and impact of Columbus House’s 45 years of work
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
    Hours of Position:
    • Student will be expected to work up to 6 hours per week between the hours of 9am – 4pm Monday through Friday.  Rare evening and weekend hours will be necessary to assist with event management.
