Position Description

Under the direction of the Athletic Department, the Volleyball Line Judge's primary responsibility is to be a Line Judge at BCC Volleyball games.

Position Responsibilities

95% - Official Line Judge during BCC Volleyball games5% - Performs other duties as needed or assigned

Expectations

To be a certified line judge at home BCC Volleyball gamesBe professionalDress appropriately as suggested by the KJCC for each contest

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience - Previous line judging preferred, but not expectedEducation -

A. Must possess the PAVO (Professional Association of Volleyball Officials) Certificate

B. Must pass the PAVO (Professional Association of Volleyball Officials) Test and get certified as a line judge

Other Skills - Knowledge of volleyball rules preferred

Physical Requirements

The work requires minor physical exertion such as short periods of standing, walking over rough, uneven surfaces, some recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities. Job may require recurring lifting of lightweight objects with infrequent bending or stooping alternating with the lighter activities. Job requires minimal agility and dexterityRegular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office or classroom
