Description
Position Summary:
The Student Center Worker provides support for the daily operations of the Student Center. This position helps create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for students and guests by assisting with facility upkeep, event setup, customer service, and general supervision of the space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet students and visitors, provide information about campus events, activities, and Student Center services.
- Monitor the Student Center to ensure a safe, clean, and respectful environment.
- Check out recreational equipment, games, or supplies and ensure proper return and storage.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of events, meetings, or student activities.
- Operate audio/visual or gaming equipment as needed.
- Report maintenance, safety, or facility issues promptly to supervisors.
- Support Student Life staff with office or event-related tasks as assigned.
- Promote campus engagement and involvement opportunities to students.
Work Schedule:
Typically 5-15 hours per week depending on need and availability. Some evening and weekend shifts may be required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must be a currently enrolled student at NCMC
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Customer-service oriented with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends as scheduled.
