Camp Counselor

Hourly Pay Rate: $10.00 - $20.00

The Camp Counselor will support the Athletics department in various administrative and operational tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Camp Director with the organization and coordination of all aspects of camps

  • Assisting the Camp Director with the teaching of sport specific fundamentals and skills associated with their assigned sport which includes but is not limited to;

  • observing individual techniques

  • evaluating performance skills

  • demonstrating proper techniques to improve participants skill level

  • Ensuring that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations

  • Attending and participating in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department's efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations

  • Seeking interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary

  • Reporting potential rules violations immediately

  • Completing required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner

  • Monitoring all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
  • A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
