    Job Summary

    The Office of University Advancement is seeking an energized and motivated student to assist across several areas, including Advancement Operations, Advancement Services, Alumni Engagement, Annual Giving, Digital Engagement, and Stewardship.

    The successful candidate should have a strong passion for Georgia College & State University and an interest in advancing the mission of the university through engagement with alumni and donors. This student will support a variety of initiatives and projects while gaining valuable experience in higher education advancement.

    The selected student will also have opportunities to attend and assist with several events throughout the year and will play an important role as a member of the University Advancement team.

    Responsibilities

    Advancement Operations -

    • Assist with database management, including data entry, record updates, and routine database maintenance.
    • Support database clean-up projects to help maintain accurate alumni and donor records.
    • Assist with online giving processes and other administrative tasks that support Advancement operations

    Customer Service -

    • Donor Engagement.
    • Alumni Relations.
    • Crowdfunding.
    • Stewardship.

    Alumni Engagement -

    • Assist with creating and gathering content for Georgia College & State University Alumni social media channels.
    • Support the planning and execution of alumni events by assisting with event setup, registration, and guest engagement.
    • Serve as a student ambassador by interacting with alumni and representing the student experience at engagement events.

    Other Duties as Assigned -

    Preform other duties as needed.

    Required Qualifications

    Other Required Qualifications

    Student enrolled in at least six credit hours as an undergraduate student at Georgia College & State University.

    Ability to work a flexible schedule around class commitments

    Preferred Qualifications

    Preferred Experience

    • One or more years of data entry experience.
    • Excellent organizational skills, advanced skills in word processing, Excel, and other Office suite programs.
    • Knowledge of Banner database system.
    • Must be able to complete tasks with little supervision and complete accuracy.
