Who We Are:
Assist an Information Technology group within the Space Science Division on computer and network support in a scientific and engineering research environment .
Objectives of this Role:
- Work within an IT group to assist in configuring and maintaining Windows, Macintosh, and Linux computer systems.
- Help provide technical support for the sector computing environment.
- Follow change control process, policies and operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with IT team members and sector staff.
- Local year-round student.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Configure computer systems.
- Install software.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving computer and network issues.
- Document work processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related field.
- 0 years: Experience with Windows, Macintosh.
- Linux operating systems preferred but not required
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
Special Requirements:
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
