IARC is a research-focused organization at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and multiple departments hire from this pool throughout the academic year. Student assistant roles vary by department and support a wide range of research, administrative, and outreach activities. Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be enrolled as an UA student taking a minimum of 6 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0 in good standing or a newly enrolled student.

Position Details:

Student positions are located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks, Alaska, part-time when school is in session, non-exempt (hourly) student assistant positions, term-funded (*additional hours may be available during the summer or semester breaks). Students will be placed on the UA Student Salary Schedule the compensation step for student positions may be determined based on the specific duties, required qualifications, and level of responsibility associated with the role.

This is a pooled position and applications are reviewed as needed. The position closes on June 30, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Alaska Standard Time.
