Digital Communications Assistant

  • Assist with the creation, filming, and editing of original content for University Health Center and Well-being Resources social media and digital platforms
  • Interest in content creation, visual storytelling, and digital marketing
  • Familiarity with photography, videography, and basic content production techniques
  • Working knowledge of cameras, microphones, lighting equipment, and content creation software • Experience with or interest in using Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Premiere Pro) to create and edit engaging digital content
  • Balance multiple projects and expectations while meeting all deadlines

The Photography / Videography Marketing Assistant is a part-time student position and will be responsible for filming, producing, and editing video and photographic content for publication on the University Health Center (UHC) websites and social media networks.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

UHC Minimum:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergrad at the University of Georgia.
  • In good academic and conduct standing

UHC Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience with creating and editing video and photo content.
  • Familiarity and experience with cameras, microphones, lighting equipment, and Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Creative Suite are desirable.
  • Prior experience with social media calendars (Hootsuite), website design, and other digital marketing tools
  • Advanced photography and videography skills (mobile device or DSLR) including capturing, editing, and optimizing
  • Occasional driving of UHC vehicle or use of Departmental Parking Pass to attend events.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Ability to assist with the creation, filming, and editing of original content for University Health Center and Well-being Resources social media and digital platforms
  • Interest in content creation, visual storytelling, and digital marketing
  • Familiarity with photography, videography, and basic content production techniques
  • Working knowledge of cameras, microphones, lighting equipment, and content creation software
  • Experience with or interest in using Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Premiere Pro) to create and edit engaging digital content
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and expectations while meeting all deadlines

Physical Demands

Sit, stand, or remain on feet for 1-hour consecutively, lift up to 25lbs, push/pull objects with minimal effort continuously, moderate effort frequently, and maximum effort occasionally, perform fine motor skills, hear normal sounds, give and receive verbal communication, discriminate color, see objects closely. Driving as needed per job duties.
