Job Title Student Assistant (News, Weather, and Sports Anchor) - Ram TV Position Type Student Division Academic Affairs Department Communication and Mass Media Essential Duties

This posting will remain open to generate a pool of qualified student applicants for available positions during the semester.

Each applicant must audition for each position.

The audition process will include the following components:

• Reading from a teleprompter.
• Delivering an ad-lib weather segment using weather maps and forecasts. No prior meteorology experience is required.
• Delivering an ad-lib sports segment based on provided video clips and score information.

These auditions are designed to evaluate on-air communication skills, presentation ability, and adaptability.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes.
• Be able to clearly speak and read English.
• Be available every Friday from 1:00pm-3:00pm (except if the Friday is a University holiday) to film.
• Must be available during the week to train and practice before filming on Friday.
• Must maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance suitable for on-air presentations and have access to business casual attire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Communication and Mass Media students (preferred, but not required).

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand 2-4 hours at a time on occasion.
• Ability to occasionally lift approximately 25 lbs if necessary.
