Department: Procurement & Payment Services

Hourly Wage: $15 per hour

Duties: Procurement & Payment Services is seeking a Federal Work Study student to support warehouse tasks. Dauties may include loading and unloading packages, and package delivery and pickup. This position offers students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and develop professional skills while contributing to the department''s operations.

Average Number of Hours per Week: 20 hours per week

Schedule: Flexible between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday working 10-20 hours per week - We work around your class schedule.

  • Unloading and checking in packages from delivery trucks.
  • Assembling and loading package for delivery.
  • Operating USF Golf Carts to delivery packages to on campus departments
  • Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse
  • Picking up retired IT equipment from on campus departments.
  • Contribute to special projects and tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to university policies and procedures.
  • Job Requirements
  • Currently enrolled student at USF and eligible for Federal Work Study.
  • Reliable and dependable when reporting to work, completing projects or assignments, and responding to email or Teams communications promptly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to lift between 25-50 Lbs
  • Valid drivers license and ability to complete USF golf cart operation training

Student Learning Objectives

  • Basic employability skills such as: appropriate dress, interpersonal communication, timeliness, and time management.
  • Demonstrate the importance of communication flow in the workplace.
  • Firsthand experience of managing multiple projects at a time which require different skills sets (utilize a diverse skill set which require to adapt to the project at hand).
