This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill Student Assistant assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. AN APPLICATION IS VALID FOR ONE YEAR, AT WHICH TIME APPLICANTS WISHING TO REMAIN IN THE POOL MUST REAPPLY AND UPDATE THEIR INFORMATION.

Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide clerical support for the Financial Aid department.
Minimum Qualifications
Current Del Mar College student in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed, with the exception of summer or has Intent to Attend the following semester when not enrolled.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong basic computer software skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Outlook
Strong active listening skills, dynamic telephone presence, and good follow up skills
General office skills including answering calls, taking messages, faxing, scanning, photocopying, and data entry.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to complete clerical duties with accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to be responsible, accountable, dependable, patient and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic working knowledge of computers and programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
