Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Department of Elementary and Special Education as a EAGLE Academy Peer Mentor & Educational Coach on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. This position will serve as an educational coach and peer mentor for students in the EAGLE Academy, a two-year non-degree program at Georgia Southern Universitys Statesboro campus designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Peer mentors provide natural supports to help EAGLE Academy students build independent living, social, academic, and career skills toward their goal of competitive integrated employment. You will play a key role in helping students navigate campus life, develop self-determination, and achieve their personal and academic goals.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Employment is contingent upon funding.
