Summary:
Works on engineering projects containing critical problems requiring major technological advances and extensive related development.
Responsible for an entire engineering project of major complexity within established scope.
Makes technical decisions and recommendations that have an important impact on extensive engineering activities.
Applies advanced technical principles, theories and concepts based on broad expertise or unique specialized knowledge.
Leads development of innovative principles and ideas.
Determines improved methods or procedures to optimize technical product, cost and schedule requirements.
Develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
Conceives and plans investigation of broad areas for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the program.
Works under consultative direction using independent judgment to accomplish objectives.
Applies engineering knowledge to support product development and production.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum applicable to the respective job position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
13 years specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelor's.
Experience credit for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
Preferred: Advanced degree in engineering or related curriculum.
