What You'll Be Doing
As a Voice & Data Level I Technician, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to help install the communication infrastructure that keeps commercial buildings connected.
Your responsibilities may include:
Pulling, routing, and supporting voice and data cabling throughout commercial facilities
Assisting with Cat6 and fiber-optic cabling installations
Dressing and organizing cable runs for clean, professional installations
Assisting with copper cable terminations and labeling
Installing J-hooks, cable supports, and pathway components
Learning how to read basic prints, floor plans, and installation instructions
Supporting Lead Technicians and experienced crew members with daily installation tasks
Maintaining an organized work area and following jobsite safety procedures
Learning structured cabling installation standards and industry best practices
Developing hands-on skills that prepare you for more advanced technical responsibilities
What We're Looking For
You don't need to be a cabling expert just yet. We're looking for someone with a solid starting point, a dependable work ethic, and the motivation to keep improving.
Ideal candidates will have:
1 3 years of hands-on commercial voice and data cabling experience
Familiarity with pulling, routing, and supporting structured cabling
Basic knowledge of common low-voltage hand tools and equipment
Exposure to Cat6 and fiber-optic cabling installations
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with experienced technicians
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Dependable attendance and professional communication
Willingness to learn new installation techniques and develop technical skills
Interest in building a long-term career in the commercial low-voltage industry
