Structural Steel Tekla Checker/Detailer - Kemah TX

Kemah-area steel detailing opportunity for a seasoned Tekla Detailer/Checker. You'll produce and check accurate structural and miscellaneous steel shop and erection drawings on commercial and industrial projects, working with a team that cares about clean, buildable drawings that go directly to the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior detailers and hold drawing quality to a consistent standard
• Check shop, assembly, and erection drawings for constructability and accuracy
• Detail and model structural and miscellaneous steel in Tekla Structures
• Confirm drawings meet AISC standards and project specifications
• Handle RFIs and revisions with engineers, fabricators, and project managers

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects
• Checking experience strongly preferred
• Solid knowledge of AISC standards, connections, and fabrication practices
• 3+ years of Tekla Structures detailing experience in structural steel

Compensation & benefits

• $100K–$130K based on experience
