Structural Steel Project Manager

Our client, an established structural steel fabrication and erection company in the greater Houston area, is hiring a Structural Steel Project Manager. You will run steel projects from award through closeout, working closely with estimating, detailing, the fabrication shop and the field.

Responsibilities

- Manage structural and miscellaneous steel projects from contract award through closeout

- Own project budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs and change orders

- Coordinate detailing, material procurement, fabrication and delivery

- Work with general contractors, engineers and owners to keep projects moving

- Track job costs and production and report project performance

- Build strong relationships with customers and project partners

Qualifications

- Project management experience in structural steel fabrication and/or erection

- Strong understanding of steel drawings, connections, fabrication and erection

- Experience managing budgets, schedules and change orders

- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills

- Microsoft Office and project management software experience
