Structural Steel Project Manager - Dayton, OH

Dayton, OH area structural steel fabricator is adding a Project Manager who knows how fabricated steel gets from the shop floor to the jobsite. You'll own projects end to end and be the main point of coordination with the steel erectors.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage RFIs and submittals and lead project meetings with general contractors, owners, and erectors
• Coordinate with steel erectors on sequencing, delivery schedules, site logistics, and field issues
• Oversee fabricated steel projects from award through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, and change orders
• Monitor costs, billing, and production, and surface risks early
• Align the shop, detailers, and engineers on drawings, approvals, and fabrication

You should have:

• Strong scheduling, cost-control, and communication skills
• 8+ years of project management experience in structural steel fabrication or steel erection
• Track record coordinating steel erectors and field crews
• Comfortable reading structural and shop drawings
• Engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, preferred
