    Lead the Flow of Steel at JGM

    Location: Coatesville, PA

    Your Schedule

    • Monday–Friday: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
    • Every other two-week period: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM
    • The alternating 5:00 AM–5:30 PM rotation is expected to continue through at least December
    • Optional Saturday shifts offered weekly

    What This Role Is About

    JGM is hiring two hands-on leaders to keep our D1.1 structural beam and column fabrication humming. Think of yourself as the conductor on the shop floor—coordinating machine operators, welders, fitters, and material handlers; clearing roadblocks; and maintaining a relentless focus on safety, quality, and throughput. This is a working leadership role centered on organizing work, driving production, and guiding people—more about orchestrating performance than being the most advanced individual operator.

    A Day in the Life

    • Kick off the shift by staging materials, aligning crews, and confirming priority work orders
    • Balance workflow between departments to keep beams and columns moving without bottlenecks
    • Track performance versus goals and deadlines, stepping in to troubleshoot equipment or process issues when needed
    • Reinforce shop safety practices and hold the line on quality standards
    • Coach, mentor, and support newer team members to build capability
    • Keep steady communication flowing with shop leadership throughout the day

    What You Bring

    • 3–7 years in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial settings
    • 3+ years specifically in structural steel fabrication
    • Experience in beam, column, or heavy structural environments preferred
    • Background leading or coordinating crews on a production floor
    • Strong organizer and communicator with solid problem-solving instincts
    • Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and production instructions
    • Hands-on, team-first leadership style

    Skills and Knowledge

    • Installing, setting up, changing over, and troubleshooting CNC machines
    • Applying Lean manufacturing principles
    • Heavy material handling, rigging, and overhead crane operation
    • AWS D1.1 familiarity and adherence
    • Reading blueprints/fabrication drawings and welding symbols
    • Production supervision, scheduling, and workflow management
    • Manufacturing operations, quality inspection/control
    • Safety and industrial safety best practices
    • Structural steel fabrication and welding
