Structural Steel Estimator - Kettering Area

Put your estimating skills to work for a structural steel fabricator serving the Kettering, OH area. This Steel Estimator bids fabricated and erected steel on commercial and industrial projects and owns each estimate from takeoff to proposal.

What you'll handle:

• Collaborate with steel erectors and project managers on constructability and erection sequencing
• Assemble complete estimates for material, shop labor, and erection, and prepare proposals
• Get and compare quotes for detailing, erection, galvanizing, coatings, and freight
• Complete quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural and miscellaneous steel from plans and specs

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of structural steel estimating experience
• Excellent at reading blueprints
• Familiar with Tekla EPM, SDS2, or similar estimating software
