Structural Steel Erection Safety Coordinator

 

Our client, an established structural steel erection contractor, is hiring a Safety Coordinator in the Des Moines, IA area. This is a permanent, full-time role working directly with ironworker crews in the field.

 

What you'll do:

- Run the jobsite safety program, audits and inspections

- Lead safety training, orientations and toolbox talks

- Investigate incidents and track corrective actions

- Keep work in line with OSHA requirements, including steel erection and fall protection standards

 

What we're looking for:

- 3+ years of construction safety experience, steel erection a plus

- OSHA 30 required; CHST or CSP a plus

- Strong communicator who earns respect with field crews

 

Compensation:

- Base salary of $80,000 to $110,000

- Full benefits including health, dental and vision

- 401k with company match

- Paid time off and holidays
