Day in the life

What you’ll lead
- Partner directly with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to plan, phase, and execute daily and weekly work
- Champion a safety‑first culture, ensuring consistent PPE use and proper practices on every task
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes to guide field activities
- Stage and verify tool, equipment, and material availability; coordinate timely deliveries to the job site
- Complete required documentation with accuracy, including time sheets, purchase orders, and logs
- Apply critical thinking to evaluate options and resolve field issues efficiently
- Observe crew productivity and quality; coach and take corrective action when needed
- Communicate clearly with team members, listening actively and responding appropriately
- Oversee the operation of machinery and equipment; conduct daily/weekly inspections as required by certifications
- Track attendance and maintain precise workforce records
- Assign tasks, balance workloads, and manage break schedules to maintain progress
- Enforce compliance with safety precautions and quality standards
- Report incidents promptly and assist the Safety Manager with investigations
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe operation
- Attend job site inspections conducted by third‑party inspectors
- Coordinate scope and sequencing with other trades as required
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safe work practices
- Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
- Demonstrated leadership with hands‑on crew supervision experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong commitment to safety and industry compliance
