Job Overview:We are seeking a Structural Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of structural engineering designexperience. In this role, you will lead and manage structural engineering projects from inception throughconstruction, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the higheststandards of quality.
The Structural Senior Project Manager will also play an integral role in business development bypreparing structural fee proposals, fostering new client relationships, and enhancing existing clientpartnerships. Key Responsibilities:• Project Management:o Serve as the Engineer of Record for all assigned projects, particularly the larger and morecomplex projects in our portfolio.o Oversee the design and production of construction documents for structural engineeringprojects, ensuring accuracy, compliance with codes, and quality.o Plan and coordinate with other project managers the project timelines, budgets, and resourcesto ensure timely delivery of projects.o Perform rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of all engineering workand documentation under your supervision.
• Team Leadership & Mentoring:o Lead and direct engineers in the design and production process, providing guidance andmentorship.o Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring engineers are developing and advancing theirtechnical and professional skills.
• Technical Expertise & Collaboration:o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and innovative structuralengineering practices.o Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successfulexecution of structural designs.
• Business Development & Client Relations:o Prepare and present structural fee proposals for new projects.o Cultivate new client relationships and strengthen existing client partnerships to generate newbusiness opportunities.o Participate in business development efforts, including networking, marketing, and clientoutreach to drive the company’s growth.
Qualifications:• Education:o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering, with an emphasison structures.
• Experience:o 10+ years of experience in structural engineering design and project management.o Proven experience in managing multiple projects and teams.o Strong experience in overseeing the production of construction documents and performingQA/QC reviews.
• Skills:o Expertise in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Revit, RAM Structural System, RISA,etc.).o Strong knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, IBC, etc.).o Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients,stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Certifications:o Professional Engineer (PE) license required (SE license a plus).
