We are seeking a highly-motivated mid- to senior‑level licensed Professional Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. The role involves forensic engineering of residential, commercial, industrial, marine, and inland structures, performing failure cause & origin analysis, authoring technical reports, and supporting construction litigation.Responsibilities and DutiesConduct field work to document as-built conditions and damage to structural systems resulting from natural or human‑induced events.Utilize building codes, structural behavior knowledge, and construction practices to establish repair scope recommendations and cause/origin analyses.Evaluate design drawings and documentation.Communicate with clients, code officials, contractors and provide detailed reports.Manage multiple project assignments, ensuring timely completion within budget.Retain and develop client relationships.Willing to travel as needed, sometimes on short notice.Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.Minimum ten years of structural engineering experience in design or related fields.California licensed Professional Engineer (NCEES); additional state registrations are a plus.Knowledge of national building and construction codes (ICC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS, etc.).Strong understanding of structural engineering concepts, principles, and practices.Experience with multiple construction types.Field experience.Strong written and oral communication skills.Experience providing litigation support, including expert testimony at depositions, trials, mediations, and arbitration (desirable).Compensation: $100,000 – $170,000MKA offers a competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and a comprehensive benefits program that includes a generous 401(k) match, ESOP participation, medical, dental, vision, and paid vacation.Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and have a good driving record.#J-18808-Ljbffr
