This role will support brownfield infrastructure projects, existing structure modifications, structural inspections, and industrial facility upgrades throughout the western U.S. Key Responsibilities : Perform structural engineering design and analysis for industrial projects ranging from small modifications to large capital projects. Structural Engineer (PE)

Salt Lake City, UT | Hybrid Schedule 

Full-Time | $55 – $75/hr, depending on experience 

Summary:

• Seeking an experienced Structural Engineer PE to support engineering design and analysis efforts for heavy industrial projects across oil & gas, mining, energy, petrochemical, material handling, and related industrial sectors.
• This role will support brownfield infrastructure projects, existing structure modifications, structural inspections, and industrial facility upgrades throughout the western U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural engineering design and analysis for industrial projects ranging from small modifications to large capital projects.
• Support brownfield and existing facility structural modifications.
• Conduct structural inspections and develop repair recommendations.
• Perform steel and concrete structural design and analysis.
• Utilize structural modeling software including RISA, RFEM, RAM, or similar tools.
• Develop engineering calculations and technical documentation.
• Track project schedules, deliverables, and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate project activities with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support proposal development and project planning efforts.
• Participate in client meetings and project coordination activities.
• Conduct site visits and field inspections as required.
• Support project management activities and staff coordination.

Requirements:

• 8–20 years of structural engineering experience
• Utah PE License or ability to obtain Utah reciprocity quickly
• Extensive structural design and analysis experience
• Extensive structural inspection and repair analysis experience
• Strong steel and concrete design experience
• Experience with RISA, RFEM, RAM, or similar structural analysis platforms
• Experience supporting brownfield or existing structure modifications
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability and willingness to travel to project sites

Preferred Qualifications:

• Heavy industrial engineering experience
• Oil & Gas experience
• Mining experience
• Energy or petrochemical project experience
• Material handling systems experience
• Project management experience
• Client-facing experience
• Additional PE licenses highly preferred (CA, MT, NV, WY, ID, AR, NM, TX)
