Structural Engineer – PE

Position Overview

We are seeking a Professional Structural Engineer (PE) to join our team and support the design and engineering of commercial structures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing structural systems for commercial construction projects and be comfortable taking projects from concept and analysis through final design.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer structural systems for commercial buildings
• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and load evaluations
• Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, and engineering documents
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
• Review project plans and ensure designs meet applicable building codes and standards
• Provide engineering support throughout the construction process
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals as needed
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and technical coordination

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience preferred
• Experience designing commercial structures
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, building codes, and design standards
• Proficiency with structural design software such as RISA, RAM, STAAD, ETABS, or similar
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Ideal Background

Candidates with experience designing commercial buildings, structural steel, reinforced concrete, and other building systems are strongly preferred.
