Structural Engineer

A Structural Engineer to coordinate, design, review and submit proposals, and serve as the Engineer of Record on a variety structural engineering projects. Occasionally monitors and inspects work undertaken by contractors to ensure the structural system complies with design documents.

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• PE License
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials and legal regulations.
• Sound understanding of physics and mathematics.
• Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Expert experience in project management.
• Three-dimensional conceptual skills.

Preferred:

• Prior experience using Enercalc software
• Prior experience using RAM Elements software

Responsibilities:

• Ensure preparation of reports, designs and drawings to company standards.
• Perform calculations for pressures, loads, and stresses on structures.
• Considers the strength of construction materials and selects appropriately.
• Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
• Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure.
• Ensure all drawings reflect the design of the project.
• Occasionally monitors and inspects work undertaken by contractors to ensure the structural system complies with design documents.
• Occasionally inspects properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations.

• Project management responsibilities to include:
  • Construction administration
  • Working with and leading a team through the entire design process.
  • Communicating with clients and team members to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Ensuring all products and services meet company standards.

Salary Range: $100k/yr. - $120k/yr.
