Using computer modelling simulations to predict how structures will act under varying conditions, i.e. high winds, flooding or earth tremors. Preferred:Experience with RAM Structural Systems, Autodesk ROBOT, or Tekla Structural Designer (TSD) .

Structural Engineer – Commercial & Industrial

Greenville, SC | Hybrid Schedule

Full-Time | $38–$55/hr, depending on experience 


Job Duties:

• Design & provide structural engineering solutions for client projects.
• Align & coordinate with other engineering disciplines on client deliverables/projects.
• Proactively anticipate client and project needs.
• Communicate in an effective and timely manner with internal and external stakeholders.
• Set and manage project schedules, coordinating internal with QA/QC goals.
• Using computer modelling simulations to predict how structures will act under varying conditions, i.e. high winds, flooding or earth tremors.
• Calculating loads and stresses on structural foundations, beams and walls.
• Ensuring projects meet legal, environmental and health and safety standards.
• Advising on suitable materials for a build.
• Advising on building repairs or demolition.
• Preparing bids for tender.
• Working with designers to develop construction plans and blueprints.
• Delivering progress reports.
• Assisting with renovations, or restoring heritage buildings to extend their lifespan.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural (or Civil with Structural emphasis) Engineering
• Structural design experience for commercial, life science, and/or industrial buildings
• Revit proficiency in a production environment

Preferred:

• Experience with RAM Structural Systems, Autodesk ROBOT, or Tekla Structural Designer (TSD)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or on path to licensure
