The ideal candidate will have strong structural engineering and project management experience and be comfortable taking ownership of projects from initial concept through completion. This individual will be responsible for developing efficient and constructible structural designs, overseeing project deliverables, managing project budgets and schedules, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients. The successful candidate should be able to work independently on projects of varying size and complexity while providing technical guidance and leadership to other team members.

Responsibilities
- Manage structural engineering projects from project initiation through completion
- Develop and optimize structural framing systems for a variety of building types and configurations
- Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems
- Develop structural construction documents, calculations, specifications, and other project deliverables
- Oversee 3-D Building Information Modeling (BIM) and structural analysis and design models
- Review structural submittals and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Participate in construction observations, special inspections, and field investigations as needed
- Develop project proposals, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, billing, and overall financial performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with firm Principals, Project Managers, engineers, designers, and BIM staff
- Identify and communicate opportunities for additional services
- Lead and mentor project engineers, designers, and other technical staff
- Perform quality control reviews and ensure project deliverables meet company standards
- Maintain accurate project documentation and complete project closeout activities
- Participate in client and project presentations and support business development efforts when appropriate
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 6-10 years of structural engineering experience, preferably within a consulting engineering firm
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required based on project responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles and applicable building codes
- Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures
- Strong understanding of IBC, FBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC standards
- Experience with structural analysis, design, and BIM software
- Previous project management and client-facing experience
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and budgets
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading and collaborating with project teams
