Embark on a pivotal role where your structural engineering expertise informs the design and construction processes for a leading national food and beverage division. Engage from concept initiation to construction, ensuring that every structural solution aligns with operational, architectural, and engineering standards. As a key team member, you’ll guide projects through their lifecycle, emphasizing practicality and cost-efficiency while adhering to project timelines.
Your work will directly support our Food and Beverage Sector, collaborating with a comprehensive team to produce innovative and robust building designs. With your leadership, you'll orchestrate the creation, coordination, and completion of top-notch structural design services.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assume the Engineer of Record role for internal structural initiatives.
- Devise and implement designs for urgent repairs and enhancements.
- Craft construction documents and marketing materials essential for project pitches.
- Set and maintain drafting templates for design operations, including exploring 5D estimating integration.
- Design various structural systems from concrete and masonry to wood and steel, catering to an array of building types such as industrial and residential.
- Maintain expertise in current construction techniques and relevant building codes.
Preconstruction & Project Oversight:
- Propel project designs by coordinating closely across architectural, MEP, and process engineering teams.
- Engage in preconstruction strategies to optimize design choices and budget alignment.
- Mentor junior engineers, foster innovation in design standards, and enhance technical practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient in Revit-based BIM workflows.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary industrial projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of food and beverage facility specifications.
- Adept problem-solving skills, a results-oriented mindset, and a focus on innovation and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Over 5 years in structural engineering, particularly within food/beverage, freezer/cooler, or industrial environments.
- Licensed as a S.E. / P.E. in Georgia with reciprocity potential.
