    Our client in Columbia, MD is currently seeking qualified structural engineers to join their team. The company specializes in building design and has an extensive catalog of successful projects in the greater DC, MD, VA area. New engineers will work with a team of practiced engineers to analyze and design a diverse range of building structures, including office buildings, educational facilities, residential structures, retail, civic buildings (libraries, community centers, etc.), parking structures, renovations, and more. Engineers are expected to perform various technical tasks including analysis of building structures, design of structural elements, preparation of construction documents, construction administration, shop drawing review, etc. Candidates must have a firm understanding of basic engineering principles and exhibit strong communication skills.

    Requirements:

    • 3-8 years of experience in structural design.
    • E.I.T. certification.
    • P.E. certification preferred.
    • B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
    • BIM/Revit experience preferred.
    • Familiarity with structural engineering software (Bentley, RAM, Tekla, etc.).
    • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Self-motivated individual with good time-management skills. Must be able to work independently and reliably to satisfy project deadlines.
    • Authorized to work within the US (position does not qualify for employment visa).
