Description

Pay: 75,000-85,000
Location: Atlanta
We are looking for a highly motivated Structural Engineer Associate who is passionate about the construction process to join our Atlanta, GA team. You’ll be responsible for project performance and profit from day one!
Responsibilities
  • Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team 
  • Prepare preliminary designs for clients
  • Review building codes to ensure proper implementation in design
  • Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil, and mechanical engineers
  • Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction
  • Produce construction-ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy
  • Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams
Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • 1-3+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction
  • Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and an understanding of foundation design
  • Proficiency in using Revit independently to create construction-level structural drawings is required
  • Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or other recognized 3D design packages preferred
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or the ability to obtain, is highly preferred
