Job TitleStructural Engineer5LocationCalifornia Statewide – available in Irvine, Los Angeles, Carlsbad, Sacramento and Concord offices.Job DescriptionResponsible for creating structural analyses and designs for reinforced concrete, structural steel, reinforced masonry, and other metal structures ranging from basic to high complexity to meet client project requirements. Duties include:Directing the development of models, drawings, and specifications.Reviewing draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations and signing off on completed designs.Coordinating designs with other engineering disciplines.Ensuring firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.Performing structural condition assessments and confined space entries.Contributing to the firm's technical knowledge base by developing white papers and design documentation for new or special case designs.Submitting technical papers and designs for publication to technical journals.Collaborating with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposals (RFPs).Reviewing draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices.Meeting with current and potential clients to review their current and future design needs.Attending conferences, symposia, and other events to promote the firm's products and services.Providing technical guidance and training to junior staff and mentoring them for future growth within the discipline and firm.Supervising the work of junior engineers on project work as needed.Performing other duties as required.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.Professional Engineering (PE) license.Seven years of related experience.Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
