    Structural Design Engineer (Full Time, Florida)

    Are you an early-career Structural Engineer ready to take the next step in your professional growth? Do you enjoy working with BIM models, performing structural analysis, and contributing to multifamily residential and complex building projects? One of our Florida-based clients is looking for a Structural Design Engineer II to join their team full-time, supporting a wide range of structural engineering projects.

    What you’ll do:

    • Develop 3D Building Information Models (BIM) and structural analysis/design models using advanced software for projects of varying complexity.

    • Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing using both computer-aided tools and hand calculations for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems.

    • Prepare construction documents and detailed structural plans using Autodesk Revit.

    • Coordinate structural designs with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure project alignment.

    • Review structural submittals and RFIs, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all levels of complexity.

    • Support Project Managers and Project Engineers with technical execution and coordination tasks.

    • Conduct construction observations and assist with special inspections for internal and external projects.

    • Prepare organized and accurate structural calculation packages and engineering documentation.

    • Assist with introductory project management responsibilities, including task tracking and time allocation.

    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when needed.

    • Maintain high standards of accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all deliverables.

    • Track time, communicate progress, and align with project schedules.


    What you must have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.

    • Advanced English level.

    • +4 years of experience in structural engineering.

    • Experience working on multifamily residential or similar building projects.

    • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and structural analysis software such as RAM SS or RAM Concept.

    • Strong understanding of structural fundamentals, including statics and mechanics of materials.

    • Working knowledge of concrete, wood framing, and steel framing systems.

    • Familiarity with BIM modeling and preparation of construction documents.

    • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality work with moderate independence.

    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.


    A great plus:

    • Advanced understanding of U.S. building codes such as FBC and IBC.

    • Familiarity with design standards such as ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC Steel Construction Manual.

    • Experience using tools such as Enercalc or similar structural design software.

    • Knowledge of field observation and inspection practices.

    • Experience reviewing submittals, RFIs, and coordinating across disciplines.

    • Familiarity with structured engineering documentation and reporting standards.

    • Interest in continuous learning through codes, manuals, and industry publications.
