KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, is seeking an experienced Structural / Civil Engineer for a precision manufacturing organization in Tualatin, Oregon.
This position is responsible for the structural engineering, calculations, analysis, and stamped engineering packages associated with precision concrete and structural steel systems used to support highly sensitive equipment. The role requires a strong background in structural, seismic, and vibration analysis, with particular emphasis on seismic restraint and anchorage calculations.


The Structural / Civil Engineer will work closely with Design, Manufacturing, Installation, Sales, customers, and vendors to develop new solutions, resolve engineering challenges, and ensure structural and dynamic performance requirements are met.
An active Oregon Civil or Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory for this position.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and stamp structural calculation and drawing packages for customer records and submission to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), as required by IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standards.
  • Perform structural, seismic, and vibration analysis for precision concrete and structural steel systems.
  • Perform seismic restraint and anchorage analyses and calculations.
  • Interpret customer requirements, including specifications, construction drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with preliminary structural design concepts for quoting and project-planning purposes.
  • Evaluate structural feasibility and develop models for Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Generate technical and performance reports based on engineering analysis.
  • Review plans and designs to ensure structural and dynamic performance requirements are satisfied.
  • Perform inspections within the manufacturing environment to verify that design intent and stamped engineering packages are being followed.
  • Support documentation and records associated with internal inspections, RFIs, and customer-specific approval processes.
  • Communicate directly with customers and vendors regarding technical requirements and engineering issues.
  • Collaborate across Design, Manufacturing, Installation, Sales, and other internal functions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot complex structural and manufacturing-related engineering issues.
  • Mentor and provide technical support to junior engineers and designers on complex projects.
  • Maintain organized engineering calculations, records, drawings, and supporting documentation

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of relevant structural/civil engineering experience.
  • Active Oregon Civil or Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) license – required.
  • Ability to produce and stamp structural engineering calculations and drawing packages.
  • Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with structural, seismic, and vibration analysis.
  • Experience performing seismic restraint and anchorage analyses and calculations.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Proficiency with RISA or similar structural analysis software.
  • Experience with Hilti PROFIS anchorage software.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and BIM 360.
  • Familiarity with structural connections and applicable welding codes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to clearly organize and present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer-facing, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, design, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Ability to work onsite in Tualatin, Oregon.
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 20%.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within industrial, manufacturing, or similarly complex structural environments.
  • Experience supporting structural systems for vibration-sensitive or precision equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with stiffness and vibration testing.
  • Semiconductor industry experience
  • Hands-on experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Dassault SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Experience working directly with manufacturing teams to inspect and validate engineered designs.


Work Environment

  • Onsite in Tualatin, Oregon.
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Primarily office-based within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Periodic work on the manufacturing floor is required, including use of appropriate PPE.
  • Limited remote work may be permitted on an as-needed basis; this is not a hybrid position.
  • Travel of up to approximately 20% may be required.


Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $150,000–$175,000 annually.
