Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Availability Required: Must be available for Saturday work on standby

Position Summary

The Strip Table Operator is responsible for cutting and processing customer orders to exact specifications using industrial cutting and slitting equipment. The role demands precision, physical stamina, and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require.

Equipment & Machinery

Operators will be trained on and expected to proficiently operate the following equipment:

• Eastman Eagle 125 cutting machine
• Heavy-duty rubber slitter with slide gauge (circular saw-style)
• Sit-down forklift
• Reach lift

Key Responsibilities

• Cut and process customer orders to specified dimensions and tolerances using assigned machinery

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and customer specifications

• Measure material using tape measures and calipers/micrometers to verify accuracy

• Convert fractional measurements to decimal equivalents as needed

• Operate sit-down forklift and reach lift to move and stage materials

• Safely handle and move material weighing up to 60–70 lbs

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

• Basic computer literacy — comfortable using a keyboard and mouse without difficulty

• Ability to read a tape measure and caliper/micrometer accurately

• Ability to read fractions and convert to decimals

• Forklift certified or able to obtain certification (sit-down and reach lift)

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically fit and capable of lifting and moving materials weighing 60–70 lbs

• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout an active manufacturing environment for extended periods

• Manual dexterity required for operating precision cutting equipment

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Must be available for Saturday work on an on-call/standby basis

• Punctuality is essential — on-time arrival at the start of each shift is required
