Street Team Brand Ambassador

Position Overview

Blenders Eyewear is seeking energetic, outgoing Street Team Brand Ambassadors to represent the brand across San Diego’s beach communities. This role is focused on driving brand awareness, engaging with customers in-market, and increasing traffic to our Cass Street retail store through grassroots, high-energy activations.

Street Team members will act as the face of the brand in high-traffic lifestyle environments including Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, La Jolla, and surrounding areas.

Schedule Requirements

• Required Availability: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays
• 3 - 4 hours per day
• Peak traffic windows (late morning through sunset)
• Program runs May - August (summer seasonal role)

Key Responsibilities

Brand Engagement & Awareness

• Represent Blenders Eyewear in high-traffic beach and community areas
• Engage directly with locals, tourists, and beachgoers in a fun, approachable, high-energy way
• Educate customers on the Blenders brand, product, and store experience
• Encourage visits to the Cass St retail location

Activation & Promotion

• Distribute promotional swag (stickers, towels, sunscreen, etc.)
• Drive QR code engagement tied to:
  • Store offers
  • Promotions
  • Email/SMS capture
• Support pop-up or mobile activation setups when needed

Content & Social

• Capture social media content (photos, videos, UGC moments)
• Create authentic, lifestyle-driven brand moments in the field
• Support influencer or community interactions when applicable

Brand Representation

• Wear full Blenders apparel and eyewear while on shift
• Maintain a positive, professional, and on-brand presence at all times

Work Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Comfortable approaching and engaging with large volumes of people
• Comfortable with being on/talking to camera
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and bring energy to each shift
• Reliable transportation to beach locations preferred

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Outgoing, energetic, and confident personality
• Comfortable engaging with strangers in a natural, fun way
• Strong interest in brand marketing, social media, or events
• Familiarity with San Diego beach communities and culture
• Prior experience in retail, events, promotions, or brand ambassador roles is a plus

Street Team Brand Ambassadors will support a San Diego Beach Market Brand Awareness Initiative focused on:

• Pacific Beach
• Mission Beach
• Mission Bay
• Belmont Park
• Ocean Beach
• La Jolla

The goal is to create a consistent, visible brand presence in the communities where our customers live and spend their weekends.

Additional Notes

This role is an extension of our retail experience outside the store, similar to how our Shade Specialists represent the brand in-store, but focused on driving awareness and demand in the community.

Work Requirements:

• Must be flexible with weekly schedule and be available to work weekends
