Head Squash Professional
Position Overview
StreetSquash Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Squash Professional (High School & Performance Coach) to lead high school and performance squash programming while overseeing the operations of the Harlem Squash Club. This role integrates advanced coaching, program leadership, administrative management, and community engagement to ensure participants receive high-quality training and holistic development both on and off the court.

Key Responsibilities
Squash Program Leadership & Coaching
- Partner with the Squash Director to design and implement a comprehensive curriculum for high school and performance players.
- Lead high-level group training sessions and one-on-one coaching for the performance cohort.
- Maintain a consistent on-court presence across middle school, high school and community programming.
- Develop individualized training plans to support competitive and personal growth.
- Prepare participants for local, regional and national competitions.
Program Management & Administration
- Oversee all administrative aspects of the high school and performance cohorts.
- Track and evaluate participants development, performance metrics and attendance.
- Coordinate and manage tournaments, including US Squash tournaments, matches, leagues and special events.
- Organize summer and external development opportunities for participants.
- Maintain accurate program data and reporting using Salesforce and other systems.
- Ensure alignment of squash programming with broader organizational goals.
Student Engagement & Support
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants by building strong, supportive relationships with each individual.
- Promote the physical, mental and social benefits of squash while supporting participants overall growth, including discipline, teamwork and leadership.
- Communicate effectively with participants, families and staff, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Develop strategies to increase participants participation, retention and engagement in program activities.
- Create competitive and mentorship opportunities, fostering connections within the broader squash community.
- Continuously assess and improve program effectiveness to ensure a high-quality experience for all participants.
Harlem Squash Club Management
- Support the growth and sustainability of the Harlem Squash Club.
- Recruit and retain club members and oversee post-program engagement.
- Manage ClubLocker reservations and member communications.
- Assist with billing, marketing and onboarding processes for Harlem Squash Club members.
Staff Supervision
- Supervise, mentor and evaluate assistant squash coaches and volunteers.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing coaching environment.
Facility Management
- Oversee inventory and ordering of squash equipment and uniforms.
- Manage and maintain squash equipment.
Budget Management
- Assist in managing the squash program budget and monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure financial sustainability.
Qualifications
Experience :
- Minimum of 5-7 years of squash coaching or high-level competitive playing experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of squash rules, strategy and player development.
- Experience coaching high-school aged athletes and performance-level players.
Education:

- Strong leadership, team management, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

- Proficiency in technology and program management tools.

- Valid drivers license and ability to drive vans occasionally.

- Level 1 or higher coaching certification

Reporting Structure
The Head Squash Professional reports to the Squash Director
Compensation
StreetSquash offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience, with a salary range of $74,000 $80,000, with an additional compensation opportunity of earning up to $30,000 (lesson revenue, incentives or program-related earnings).
