The Streets Division of the Public Works Department is seeking qualified female and male candidates who enjoy working outdoors in a fast paced environment and wants to be part of the Street Maintenance Team. Primary duties include asphalt maintenance, leaf collection snow removal & emergency response. Construction experience preferred.
This position is full time and offers competitive benefit package (including medical, dental, life insurance, etc.), paid holidays, paid time off, parental leave and participation in the Virginia Retirement System.
Starting pay is $20.00 per hour but compensation will be negotiated based on possession of Commercial Drivers License and relevant streets maintenance experience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
Street Maintenance Experience Preferred.

This position requires you to work outdoors for extended periods of time in various weather conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, snow and rain. What experience do you have in working in similar conditions?

This position requires you to be available to work snow removal and other emergencies in the evening and weekends typically in 12 hour periods. Can you work this schedule?
