As a strategy research analyst senior within our Strategy organization, you'll develop actionable insights from emerging macro and consumer trends, industry and competitor research, and internal operational data. In this role, you'll work with colleagues across the Strategy organization to conduct hypothesis driven analysis, communicate findings in a compelling way, and partner with leaders across Progressive to develop recommendations that influence strategic decisions. Additionally, you'll support research and data analytics needs, trends ideation, and other Strategy group efforts as they arise.

This is a remote position. Local to Cleveland or Chicago preferred for occasional in-person meetings. This position will require quarterly travel to Cleveland for Strategy meetings and/or project work (estimated 4-6 times a year).

Minimum qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years related work experience in Business, Economics, or related field and at least 2 years of Corporate Strategy/Relevant Consulting experience
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Economics, or related fields (e.g., Marketing, Social Sciences) and a minimum of 3 years in related work experience in Business, Economics or related analytical field and at least 2 years of Corporate Strategy/relevant Consulting experience

Preferred skills

  • Strong analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, take ownership of complex work streams, and manage project timelines under tight deadlines
  • Self-starter with proven experience building business cases from conceptualization to recommendation and driving initiatives forward with minimal direction
  • Strong Executive presentation skills including public speaking and PowerPoint presentation development, with the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives that influence strategic decisions; experience interacting with C-Suite leadership and leading industry experts
  • Advanced Excel modeling and statistical skills with the ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights that drive successful business actions
  • Knowledge of market and industry research methodologies with experience applying those insights to shape strategic direction

Compensation

  • $90,000 - $108,000
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
