Job Summary
We are seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to support account processing, data validation, reporting, and quality assurance activities within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with financial/account data, reviewing documents, identifying discrepancies, and using Excel for reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain financial or customer account information.
- Review scanned documents/images and identify missing or incorrect information.
- Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify defects, discrepancies, and gaps and document findings.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports and trackers using Excel.
- Review reports, analyze exceptions, and escalate issues to the appropriate teams.
- Support QA/UAT activities, including test execution, documentation, and capturing screenshots/evidence.
- Assist with data processing and account-related requests as they are received.
- Work across different phases of the project and support various operational functions as business needs evolve.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established financial operations and quality-control procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in banking, brokerage, wealth management, or financial services operations.
- Experience with account processing, account maintenance, or data processing.
- Strong data validation and quality-checking skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with reporting, discrepancy identification, and issue escalation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of information.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a process-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with QA, UAT, or operational testing.
- Experience identifying and documenting defects.
- Experience reviewing financial documents or scanned images.
- Knowledge of banking, brokerage, securities, or wealth-management processes.
- Experience with reconciliation or exception management.
