Strategic Sourcing Specialist Description Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of golf cars, utility and personal transportation vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground support equipment. Textron Specialized Vehicles markets products under several different brands. Its vehicles are found in environments ranging from golf courses to factories, airports to planned communities, and theme parks to hunting preserves. Responsibilities: Lead efforts to identify and implement supplier cost reductions. Assist in the selection and management of new and current suppliers. Perform make vs. buy analysis to determine optimal chain of supply for materials and suppliers. Support materials and quality teams to identify supplier delivery and quality issues. Source materials for new product launches and product model changes. Support the supplier transition process by allocating work from an external supplier to in house production or vice versa. Coordinate request for quote packages with supply base to ensure premium pricing for sourced materials. Collaborate with the finance and accounting departments to ensure suppliers are paid on time. * Manage materials projects by using problem solving techniques, data from factory information systems, and lean manufacturing concepts. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field required OR years of experience considered in lieu of degree. Years of Experience:2 or more years w/ degree OR 5 or more years or relevant experience w/o degree. Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite, ERP system experience required; SAP and Teamscenter experience preferred Additional Requirements: Supply Chain Certificate through APICS or ISM preferred Ability to understand and interpret technical illustrations in a mathematical diagram and apply mathematical concepts and operations preferred AI Readiness: Textron expects employees to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively.
